About This Role

This is a structured entry-point into one of Africa's largest industrial groups, based at Dangote's Mugher plant in Oromia. Rather than a single fixed job, the programme rotates you across departments — finance, operations, and related functions — so you build a picture of how a heavy-manufacturing business actually runs. It suits fresh graduates who want a foot in the door of a multinational cement producer and are willing to earn their place through an 18-month proving period before being considered for permanent staff.

What the Requirements Say About This Role

The profile being sought is less about specialist depth and more about adaptability and willingness to learn across functions. Because the scheme rotates trainees through different units, the company is screening for people who can absorb new systems quickly and work with different teams rather than those locked into one discipline. The engineering, automotive, and business backgrounds listed suggest they want a mixed cohort that mirrors the plant's real operational mix — technical and commercial side by side.

How to Approach This Application

Treat this as a long audition, not a standard job application. Emphasize evidence that you can learn fast, take direction, and contribute to team projects — coursework projects, internships, or volunteer coordination all count here. Show familiarity with Dangote as an industrial employer and a genuine reason for wanting plant-based work in Mugher specifically, since willingness to be based outside Addis is a practical filter many applicants fail. Keep your CV clean and results-focused; they are likely prioritizing attitude, academic record, and coachability over polished experience.
