Job Summary: Responsible for managing company-owned trucks and fleet-related store operations. The role focuses on fleet utilization, maintenance coordination, driver management, and inventory control of spare parts to support uninterrupted logistics services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Fleet & Driver Management: Plan daily truck movements, monitor fuel efficiency, and supervise driver performance and safety compliance.
- Maintenance & Compliance: Coordinate vehicle repairs/servicing and ensure all trucks have valid licenses, insurance, and permits.
- Store & Inventory: Receive, inspect, and issue spare parts/consumables; maintain accurate stock records (GRN/GIN) and monitor reorder points.
- Reporting: Prepare daily performance and inventory reports; reconcile physical stock with system records.
- Skills & Competencies:
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of transport/fleet operations and basic vehicle maintenance.
- Systems: Proficiency in MS Excel and experience with fleet tracking or inventory management software.
- Administration: Excellent reporting, physical/electronic filing, and documentation skills.
- Soft Skills: High level of integrity, strong problem-solving abilities, and effective communication skills to manage drivers and mechanics.
Status: Permanent
Key Requirements:
- Education: Degree/Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Auto-Mechanics, or related field.
- Experience: 2 years of experience in fleet operations or transport-related store management.
