About This Role
This is a senior coordination and oversight role within a real estate development firm, focusing on the technical backbone of shoring and excavation projects. Rather than working directly on the construction site, you will be the central hub for all engineering documentation, design reviews, and stakeholder communication. This position suits an experienced engineer who prefers to manage the flow of technical information and ensure project compliance from an office setting, rather than being in the field daily.
What the Requirements Say About This Role
The requirement for 5-8 years of experience signals that the company is looking for a proven professional who can manage a team and complex documentation without constant supervision. The emphasis on shoring and excavation suggests the need for a deep understanding of geotechnical and structural principles. The profile being sought is not just a technical engineer, but a process manager who can bridge the gap between design intent and field execution by maintaining rigorous quality control on drawings and specifications.
How to Approach This Application
Your application should highlight specific examples of how you have managed engineering teams and coordinated technical deliverables for groundworks or foundation projects. Emphasize your experience with document control systems, your ability to review and redline construction drawings, and any history of resolving design conflicts with stakeholders. The employer will prioritize candidates who can demonstrate they have prevented costly errors through meticulous review and clear communication.
Who This Role Suits
This role is best suited for a senior engineer with a strong background in structural or geotechnical engineering who thrives on organization and technical oversight. Given the specialized nature of shoring projects and the seniority level, competition is likely moderate and focused on candidates with direct experience in this niche.
