Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation Engineer(Re Advertised)
Ovid Real EstateAbout This Role
This role bridges project management and quality assurance within a real estate development context. You will not simply track timelines but actively interpret project health through data, ensuring design, procurement, and construction align with organizational standards. It suits an engineer who enjoys structured analysis and cross-functional coordination, particularly in a fast-growing Ethiopian real estate firm.
What the Requirements Say About This Role
The job seeks someone with a blend of technical scheduling skills (Primavera or MS Project) and evaluative thinking—not just a planner but someone who can audit performance and recommend improvements. The “3-5 years” experience suggests the employer values practical familiarity with real estate workflows over theoretical knowledge. Proficiency in M&E frameworks is implied, meaning you should be comfortable designing indicators and translating field data into management reports.
How to Approach This Application
Emphasize your ability to turn raw project data into actionable recommendations, not just your scheduling software skills. Highlight any experience working with design, procurement, or construction teams in a coordination role. Show that you understand the specific challenges of real estate projects in Ethiopia—such as supply chain delays or regulatory approvals—and how you’ve used M&E to mitigate them. Tailor your CV to demonstrate a track record of improving project outcomes through systematic monitoring.
Who This Role Suits
This role is best suited for a mid-career engineer with a knack for data-driven decision-making and cross-departmental communication. It is moderately competitive, as it requires a niche blend of technical planning and evaluative skills that are increasingly valued but still relatively scarce in the local market.
Job Purpose
The Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation Engineer is responsible for tracking and assessing the performance of real estate projects, ensuring compliance with established standards, and providing actionable insights for continuous improvement. The role involves designing M&E frameworks, conducting evaluations, and preparing comprehensive reports to support decision-making.
