Project Health, Safety and Environment(HSE) Coordinator
Temer PropertiesAbout This Role
This is an on-the-ground safety leadership role within an active construction environment. As the HSE Coordinator at Temer Properties, you will be the primary driver of safety culture on project sites, moving beyond policy creation to daily monitoring, training, and incident response. It suits a mid-career safety professional who is comfortable enforcing rules on a construction site and who understands the unique risks of building projects.
What the Requirements Say About This Role
The requirement for 3-5 years of experience suggests the company needs someone who has already seen common construction hazards and knows how to handle them without constant supervision. They are not looking for a junior assistant but a coordinator who can independently run inspections and lead training sessions. The emphasis on "implementing" and "monitoring" policies means the ideal candidate is proactive and comfortable with hands-on enforcement, not just paperwork.
How to Approach This Application
In your application, lead with specific examples of safety improvements you have driven on previous construction sites. Quantify your impact—mention the number of inspections conducted, training sessions led, or the reduction in incidents you achieved. Emphasize your ability to work with construction crews and site managers, showing you can communicate safety requirements clearly and firmly. Highlight any experience with Ethiopian safety regulations and your familiarity with common local construction hazards.
Who This Role Suits
This role is best suited for a mid-level HSE practitioner who is ready to take ownership of safety on multiple project sites and enjoys being in the field rather than behind a desk. Given the specificity of the construction sector experience required, competition will be moderate, with strong candidates having direct site experience.
