About This Role

This is a leadership role overseeing the full lifecycle of high-rise construction projects in Addis Ababa. It suits an experienced construction professional who can balance technical oversight of complex vertical builds with financial discipline and stakeholder management. The role sits within a growing Ethiopian business group, meaning you’ll need to navigate both on-site realities and high-level client or investor expectations.

What the Requirements Say About This Role

The employer is looking for someone who has not just managed projects, but specifically led high-rise or large-scale vertical construction. The emphasis on structural sequencing and MEP subcontractor oversight suggests they value hands-on technical knowledge, not just administrative project management. They likely want a candidate who can anticipate risks unique to high-rise builds, such as load-bearing challenges or safety protocols at height.

How to Approach This Application

Emphasize specific high-rise projects you have managed from start to finish, including your role in schedule development and cost control. Highlight any experience with MEP coordination and subcontractor negotiation, as these are explicitly mentioned. The employer will prioritize candidates who demonstrate both strategic planning and crisis management skills, so include examples of how you handled delays, budget overruns, or safety incidents on vertical builds.
