About This Role
This is a field-based sales and customer management role within Hagbes, a well-established Ethiopian engineering firm, focused on selling parts, service packages, and maintenance agreements rather than physical equipment alone. The PSSR acts as the bridge between the company and its existing customer base, combining technical inspection work with commercial follow-up in an assigned territory. It suits someone early in their career who is comfortable moving between customer sites and a computer database, and who understands that after-sales revenue is as important as the initial sale.
What the Requirements Say About This Role
The profile being sought is a hybrid of technical awareness and commercial discipline — someone who can perform basic machine inspections without being a full technician, yet can convert those inspections into sales conversations. The emphasis on territory coverage planning, database maintenance, and timely reporting signals that the employer values self-management and consistency over raw sales aggression. This is a relationship-maintenance role at heart, so the ideal candidate is organized, proactive about follow-ups, and trustworthy enough to represent the company's integrity in front of clients.
How to Approach This Application
Emphasize any experience you have with customer-facing work in technical or industrial settings, even if brief — field sales, service coordination, or parts support all translate well here. Show that you can plan your own schedule and territory, since the role clearly expects independence once approved work programs are in place. Mention familiarity with databases or CRM-style record keeping, and if you have any exposure to machinery or equipment inspection, make that visible early. The employer likely prioritizes reliability and follow-through over polished sales pitches.
Who This Role Suits
Best suited for a junior professional with a technical or engineering background who enjoys a mix of site visits and structured reporting, and who wants to build a career in after-sales and service sales. Competition is likely moderate, with the role favoring candidates who can demonstrate initiative and customer relationship skills over formal credentials alone.
