About This Role

This is a front-line reservations role at a luxury furnished-residence property whose clientele consists largely of diplomats, NGO staff, and corporate executives on extended stays. The job sits at the intersection of sales and service: you are not simply logging bookings but shaping the first impression high-value guests form of the property. It suits someone who is composed under pressure, comfortable with international clients, and able to handle inquiries with both warmth and precision. The Bole Japan location places you at the center of Addis Ababa's diplomatic and business corridor, which shapes the pace and expectations of the work.

What the Requirements Say About This Role

The junior-level framing with one to three years of experience signals that the employer wants someone trained enough to work independently but still early in their career and open to the property's own service standards. The explicit gender specification reflects the property's presentation and guest-handling model rather than a technical skill requirement, so expect the interview to focus heavily on demeanor, communication, and discretion. Underlying the listing is a demand for someone who can manage multiple booking channels, respond quickly to high-status guests, and maintain confidentiality β€” traits more about temperament than credentials.

How to Approach This Application

Emphasize any experience dealing with international or VIP clients, even in adjacent sectors like travel, front desk, or customer service, and highlight your written and spoken English alongside Amharic. The employer's stated values β€” discretion, frictionless service, elite comfort β€” should shape how you present yourself: mention concrete situations where you handled a sensitive request or resolved a booking problem calmly. Since salary is negotiable, avoid anchoring expectations early and focus the conversation on reliability and guest-facing polish. A short, well-formatted CV with a brief cover note is likely to be read more closely than a long application.

Best Fit

Who This Role Suits

Best suited to early-career hospitality or customer service professionals, particularly women, who are detail-oriented and comfortable serving demanding international guests in a discreet environment. Competition is likely moderate but the pool is narrowed by the gender specification and the premium service expectations.
