Key Purpose Statement

To lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the company's Safety, Health, and Environment strategy, ensuring compliance with Ethiopian regulations and international standards while fostering a culture of safety excellence across all construction sites and operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement SHE strategy, goals, and performance indicators aligned with business objectives
• Oversee the SHE Management System in compliance with ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and other relevant standards.
• Ensure compliance with Ethiopian OSH regulations, environmental regulations, and legal requirements.
• Lead risk assessment processes and implement effective control measures.
• Investigate serious incidents and accidents, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
• Monitor SHE performance, analyze data, and prepare reports for senior management.
• Establish SHE requirements for contractors and oversee compliance.

• BSc Degree in Occupational Health and Safety, HO, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of progressive SHE management experience. Experience in the construction industry is preferable.
• Certification in Integrated Management System (OHSMS, EMS, and QMS) required.
