Senior Finishing Foreman

Job Purpose

The Senior Finishing Foreman is responsible for supervising and coordinating all building finishing activities on-site to ensure that work is completed according to approved drawings, technical specifications, quality standards, project schedules, and health and safety requirements

Duties and Responsibilities

• Supervise all finishing works, including plastering, screeding, tiling, painting, gypsum ceilings, partitions, doors, windows, joinery, and other architectural finishes.
• Read and interpret architectural drawings, shop drawings, and technical specifications.
• Organize daily work activities and allocate workers, subcontractors, materials, tools, and equipment.
• Monitor site progress and ensure finishing activities are completed within the approved project schedule.
• Inspect workmanship to ensure proper alignment, levels, dimensions, surface quality, and finishing details.
• Coordinate with civil, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and other teams to avoid work clashes and delays.
• Ensure all finishing works comply with approved drawings, project specifications, and quality requirements.
• Coordinate with the Quality Control (QC) team and consultants for inspections and approvals.
• Identify defective work and ensure corrective actions are completed promptly.
• Monitor material consumption, prevent wastage, and protect completed works from damage.
• Prepare daily progress reports and report site issues, labor requirements, and material shortages to the Site Manager.
• Ensure workers and subcontractors comply with health, safety, and housekeeping requirements.
• Coordinate snagging, defect rectification, final inspections, and handover activities

Job Specification

Educational Qualifications

• MSc./BSc. Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Technology and Management, or other related fields.

Professional Experience

• Minimum of 5–8 years of relevant construction experience, with substantial experience in building finishing works..

Core Professional Skills

• Proficiency in Auto cad ,MS Excel and MS word.
• Proven experience supervising finishing activities on residential, commercial, high-rise, or similar building projects.
• Good understanding of architectural drawings, finishing materials, and construction methods.
• Experience managing finishing teams and coordinating subcontractors.
