About This Role
This is a hands-on, sole-charge accounting position inside a private dental clinic, meaning you would likely own the full financial record-keeping cycle rather than specialize in one slice of it. The clinic setting matters: healthcare providers handle cash, insurance-style settlements, and payroll for clinical staff, so accuracy and confidentiality carry real weight. It suits an accountant who is comfortable working independently without a large finance department behind them.
What the Requirements Say About This Role
The seniority band signals the clinic wants someone who has already run a books-of-accounts function end to end and will not need hand-holding on reconciliations, payables, or statutory filings. The emphasis on audit-ready filing and tax compliance suggests past experience with Ethiopian reporting obligations and possibly surviving an external review is what separates shortlisted candidates. Expect them to probe how independently you have managed payroll and month-end work in a prior role.
How to Approach This Application
Lead with concrete evidence of ownership — how many accounts or staff you handled, which software you used, and whether auditors or tax authorities reviewed your work. Because the role is in a clinic, mention any experience with cash-heavy or service-sector environments and your discretion with sensitive records. The employer is likely prioritizing reliability and independence over credentials, so references who can vouch for your accuracy matter.
Who This Role Suits
Best suited to a mid-to-senior accountant who thrives in a small, self-directed finance setup and wants stability in a private healthcare employer. Competition is likely moderate, with the deciding factor being demonstrable end-to-end accounting experience rather than academic pedigree.
