About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the financial management, reconciliation, and strategic financial planning of a growing fintech company. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance and accounting, proven experience in senior financial leadership, and the ability to ensure accurate financial records, effective controls, and sustainable business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee financial reconciliation across bank accounts, payment platforms, digital transactions, and settlement accounts.
- Ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial records and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Develop and implement financial strategies, budgets, forecasts, and business plans.
- Monitor cash flow, liquidity, profitability, and overall financial performance.
- Establish and strengthen internal financial controls, policies, and procedures.
- Oversee financial reporting, accounting operations, audits, and regulatory compliance.
- Identify financial risks, improve financial processes, and implement reconciliation automation where appropriate.
- Provide strategic financial advice to the CEO and senior management to support business decisions and growth.
- Lead and develop the Finance and Accounting team.
- Manage relationships with banks, auditors, payment partners, and other relevant stakeholders.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Financial Management, or a related field.
- A master's degree or professional qualification such as ACCA or CPA is an advantage.
- At least 10 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting.
- Previous experience as a Senior Finance Manager, Head of Finance, Finance Director, CFO, or in an equivalent senior leadership position.
- Experience in fintech, digital payments, banking, financial services, or a transaction-intensive business is strongly preferred.
- Proven expertise in financial reconciliation, financial controls, reporting, and strategic financial management.
