About This Role

This role places you at the intersection of program delivery and institutional accountability in a humanitarian setting. You will be the frontline gatekeeper for complaints and feedback from both staff and beneficiaries, ensuring that operational integrity is maintained across all project activities. It suits a professional who is comfortable working in a field office environment, where direct community engagement and rigorous compliance monitoring go hand in hand. The position is based in Gambella, a region with significant refugee and host community programming, so familiarity with humanitarian operations and donor compliance is essential.

What the Requirements Say About This Role

The profile being sought is not just a compliance officer but a field-based problem solver who can translate donor regulations into practical, daily oversight. The emphasis on managing complaints and feedback suggests the employer values someone who can handle sensitive information with discretion and impartiality. Experience in internal control, audit, or fraud prevention is implied to be hands-on, meaning the ideal candidate has worked directly with program teams, not just in a back-office audit function. A background in social sciences, agriculture, economics, or accounting indicates the need for someone who understands both programmatic and financial dimensions of project implementation.

How to Approach This Application

In your application, prioritize demonstrating how you have previously managed complaints or feedback mechanisms in a field setting, especially if you have experience with beneficiary accountability systems. Emphasize your ability to coordinate across departments, as this role sits between program staff, finance, and management. Because the employer is World Vision, highlight any familiarity with their core humanitarian principles or similar international NGO standards. Avoid listing generic compliance duties; instead, provide concrete examples of how you identified a risk or compliance gap and worked with a team to address it.
