About This Role
This is a hands-on technical leadership role at Huawei, one of the world’s largest telecom and ICT infrastructure providers. You will be the bridge between project management and technical execution, ensuring data center builds meet both engineering standards and client expectations. It suits an experienced engineer who enjoys field-level problem-solving and coordinating complex installations, rather than purely desk-based design work.
What the Requirements Say About This Role
The posting seeks a seasoned engineer with 5–8 years of experience, meaning you are expected to independently manage technical decisions and subcontractors on site. The emphasis on interpreting customer requirements and the Scope of Work suggests strong client-facing skills are as important as your knowledge of power systems. Huawei likely prioritises candidates who can demonstrate prior end-to-end involvement in data center projects, from design review through to commissioning.
How to Approach This Application
In your CV and cover letter, highlight specific data center projects where you led technical delivery, mentioning the scale (e.g., power capacity, number of racks) and your role in testing and acceptance. Emphasise familiarity with Huawei’s equipment or similar Chinese OEM gear, as this reduces onboarding time. Prepare to discuss how you have handled scope changes or quality deviations on past projects, since the role explicitly ties you to cost and schedule control.
Who This Role Suits
This role is best suited for a senior infrastructure engineer who thrives in high-stakes, deadline-driven environments and is comfortable representing a global vendor to local clients. It is likely competitive, given Huawei’s brand and the narrow requirement for data center-specific experience.

- Serve as the technical lead for data center projects, supporting the Project Manager in controlling project scope, cost, schedule, quality, and technical delivery.
- Interpret customer requirements and the Scope of Work (SOW) to ensure successful project implementation.

- Monitor project execution to ensure compliance with approved designs, technical specifications, industry standards, and quality requirements.

- Conduct service cost analysis, including manpower planning, subcontractor evaluation, and resource optimization.
- Coordinate with customers, subcontractors, consultants, and internal teams to ensure project success and customer satisfaction.
- Identify technical risks and implement corrective actions to ensure successful project delivery.
- Prepare technical reports, project documentation, and regular progress updates.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in data center design, implementation, commissioning, or project delivery.
- Experience managing medium- to large-scale data center infrastructure projects is highly preferred.
