About This Role
This is a hands-on finance support role inside a working furniture factory, not a corporate office position. The hire will be the financial record-keeper for daily factory operations—tracking invoices, handling petty cash, and running bank errands in the local area. It suits a fresh graduate who wants to build accounting experience quickly by touching every part of the transaction cycle rather than specializing in one narrow task.
What the Requirements Say About This Role
The emphasis on living near Menagesha signals that commuting reliability matters more to this employer than academic pedigree—they need someone who can show up consistently and move between the factory and local banks without friction. The multilingual and local communication angle suggests the role sits at the intersection of finance and community relations; this person will likely be the factory's financial point of contact for suppliers, workers, and clients who may not operate in formal business settings. The fresh graduate framing implies they are willing to train on systems and procedures, but expect baseline numeracy, honesty with cash, and comfort in an industrial environment from day one.
How to Approach This Application
Lead with your proximity to Menagesha and your language abilities—these are clearly screening criteria, not nice-to-haves. Mention any exposure to bookkeeping, petty cash, or invoice handling from internships, coursework, or family business experience, since the employer will want reassurance you can be trusted with cash and bank duties. A short note on your willingness to work in a factory setting and handle bank errands yourself will signal you understand what the job actually looks like day to day.
Who This Role Suits
Best suited to a recent accounting or finance graduate based near Menagesha who is fluent in Amharic and at least one other language, and who values practical experience over prestige. Competition is likely moderate but localized—the location requirement narrows the applicant pool considerably, which works in favor of qualified nearby candidates.
