About This Role
This is not a desk-bound accounting role. As Finance Head for a scaling FMCG manufacturer in Adama, you are expected to be the strategic backbone of the factory's operations—translating production costs, inventory flows, and market volatility into actionable financial strategy. It suits a seasoned professional who is comfortable moving beyond traditional bookkeeping to shape business decisions at the leadership table. The location signals that this is an operational role, deeply embedded in the day-to-day realities of manufacturing, not a remote corporate position.
What the Requirements Say About This Role
The 5-8 year seniority expectation signals that DINA Investment Group wants someone who has already weathered full financial cycles, not just someone who has processed transactions. The emphasis on "deep industry knowledge" implies they value candidates who understand the specific cost structures of FMCG—raw material pricing, import logistics, and production line efficiency. They are looking for a finance leader who can challenge operational decisions with data, not merely report on them after the fact.
How to Approach This Application
Your CV and cover letter must demonstrate measurable impact from previous roles—quantify how you improved working capital, reduced costs, or streamlined financial reporting in a manufacturing context. Given the Adama location, emphasise your willingness to be physically present at the factory and your understanding of regional supply chain dynamics. Highlight any experience with ERP implementation or financial system upgrades, as the company is clearly in a phase of "enhancing financial systems" and will value someone who can lead that transformation.
Who This Role Suits
This role is best suited for a finance professional with hands-on FMCG manufacturing experience who thrives in operational environments rather than corporate headquarters. Expect meaningful competition from candidates with multinational FMCG backgrounds, but local candidates with strong factory-level experience will have a distinct advantage.
