About This Role

This is a support role within the finance team of an international anti-trafficking NGO, where the intern's main job is keeping the department's paperwork and records in order rather than handling budgets or financial analysis. It suits a fresh graduate who wants a first foot in the door of the NGO sector and is willing to learn by doing the unglamorous groundwork. Because Hope for Justice operates donor-funded programmes, the records you help maintain feed directly into grant compliance and audit readiness.

What the Requirements Say About This Role

The emphasis on documentation and clerical duties signals that the employer needs someone dependable and detail-obsessed more than someone with advanced accounting knowledge. The reporting line to a Finance & Grant Manager suggests you will work closely with a senior staff member who expects accuracy and consistency in everything you touch. Fresh graduates with limited experience are clearly welcome, so the profile being sought is a willing learner with strong organizational habits rather than a candidate with a polished CV.

How to Approach This Application

Highlight any experience — coursework, volunteer work, student clubs, or prior internships — that shows you can handle repetitive tasks carefully and keep records organized. Mention familiarity with basic office tools and any exposure to spreadsheets or filing systems, since those are the day-to-day instruments of this role. Show genuine interest in the NGO's mission; faith-based and humanitarian organizations tend to prioritize motivation and integrity alongside competence. Keep your documents clean and error-free, because attention to detail is exactly what they are screening for.

Best Fit

Who This Role Suits

Best suited to a recent accounting or finance graduate seeking NGO exposure and practical office experience, and competition may be moderate given the organization's reputation and the internship's learning value.
