About This Role

This is a field-based, multi-functional operational role requiring someone who can independently manage finance, logistics, and administration in a remote location. Based in Kurmuk Woreda, Benishangul-Gumuz, the position supports a nine-month project and reports both to a Team Leader in the field and to technical teams at the head office. It suits a mid-career professional who thrives in decentralized environments and can handle diverse responsibilities without close daily supervision.

What the Requirements Say About This Role

The employer is not just looking for a specialist in one area but a versatile generalist who can handle finance, procurement, fleet management, and compliance simultaneously. The role implies the need for someone with at least three to five years of experience in NGO or project-based settings, particularly in remote field offices. Strong familiarity with donor regulations and Ethiopian legal frameworks is likely a hidden priority, as the officer must ensure all operations meet multiple compliance standards.

How to Approach This Application

Emphasize your ability to manage multiple functions—finance, logistics, and administration—in a single role, especially in remote or hardship locations. Highlight any experience with project-based contracts, donor compliance, and working in Benishangul-Gumuz or similar regions. The employer will prioritize candidates who can demonstrate self-reliance, problem-solving, and a track record of reducing operational risks in field offices.

Best Fit

Who This Role Suits

This role is best suited for a resilient, adaptable professional comfortable with field-based work and limited resources. It is likely moderately competitive, with preference given to candidates who already have experience in Ethiopia’s remote project sites.
