About This Role
This role sits at the intersection of HR operations and financial compliance, requiring someone who can manage the technical backbone of employee compensation. As the Reward and Reporting Specialist at HEINEKEN Ethiopia, you will be the central figure ensuring payroll accuracy across multiple brewery sites while also monitoring legislative changes that affect pay and benefits. It suits a detail-oriented HR professional with a strong analytical mindset who enjoys working behind the scenes to keep a large organization running smoothly. In the FMCG sector, where margins and labor costs are tightly managed, your work directly impacts both employee trust and regulatory standing.
What the Requirements Say About This Role
The focus on payroll supervision and legislative awareness implies the employer is seeking someone who combines technical precision with a strategic understanding of compliance risks. You are expected to be a gatekeeper of financial data, not just a processor, meaning experience with payroll systems, tax calculations, and cross-site coordination is essential. The profile sought is less about broad HR generalist skills and more about deep expertise in reward structures and reporting analytics, likely requiring familiarity with Ethiopian tax and labor laws.
How to Approach This Application
When applying, highlight specific examples where you managed payroll for a multi-location or multi-site organization, emphasizing accuracy and timeliness. Since the role involves "keeping an eye on developments in regard to legislation," demonstrate your awareness of recent changes in Ethiopian tax or social security regulations and how you have adapted processes accordingly. The employer will prioritize candidates who can show they are meticulous with data and proactive about compliance, so prepare to discuss your approach to error-checking and cross-site coordination.
Who This Role Suits
This role is best suited for a mid-career HR professional with 3–5 years of experience in compensation, payroll, or HR analytics, ideally within a large multinational or manufacturing context. Given the specificity of the skills required and the prestige of the HEINEKEN brand, competition is likely moderate to high, with a clear preference for candidates who can hit the ground running on payroll and reporting.
