About This Role

This role is about end-to-end accountability for how Awash Wine’s products move from the company to the customer — balancing speed, cost, and quality. It’s a hands-on leadership position that also includes managing sales administration, meaning you’ll bridge logistics with commercial operations. Suited for a seasoned logistics or supply chain professional who thrives on optimizing routes, controlling budgets, and coordinating across departments in a fast-moving consumer goods environment.

What the Requirements Say About This Role

The implied profile is someone with not just logistics experience, but proven ability to manage people, budgets, and cross-functional workflows. Expectation of 5–8 years suggests you’ve already led distribution teams and handled fleet or warehouse operations. The mention of sales administration hints that the employer values candidates who understand how back-office processes support sales targets — not just moving goods, but enabling revenue.

How to Approach This Application

Emphasize specific examples where you improved delivery times, reduced distribution costs, or streamlined sales administration processes. Highlight experience with budget management and fleet coordination, as these are explicit responsibilities. Since Awash Wine is a well-known local brand, showing familiarity with Ethiopian FMCG distribution challenges — such as route planning in Addis or managing seasonal demand — will set you apart.
