About This Role

This is a hands-on technical leadership role focused on ensuring the bank’s digital payment infrastructure—ATMs, POS terminals, and related devices—runs without interruption across the Hawassa District. You will be the go-to person for troubleshooting, coordinating with vendors, and implementing system upgrades, making you critical to maintaining customer trust in digital banking services. It suits an experienced IT professional who thrives on operational stability and enjoys working at the intersection of hardware, software, and field support.

What the Requirements Say About This Role

The bank is seeking someone with deep, practical experience in managing payment device ecosystems, not just theoretical knowledge. The emphasis on “administration, monitoring, and maintenance” suggests you must be comfortable with both preventive and reactive problem-solving, often under time pressure. The role likely requires familiarity with banking security standards and vendor management, implying you should be a disciplined, process-oriented professional who can handle multiple locations and coordinate with external service providers.

How to Approach This Application

Focus your application on concrete examples of uptime improvements, incident resolution times, or successful vendor negotiations from past roles. Highlight any certifications or training in ATM/POS systems, network security, or electronic payment protocols. Since this is a district-level role, demonstrate your ability to work autonomously and manage logistics across multiple sites—mentioning experience in similar geographic or operational contexts will strengthen your candidacy.

Best Fit

Who This Role Suits

This role is best suited for a mid-career IT infrastructure specialist with at least five years in banking or fintech device management, who values stability and enjoys field-based problem-solving. It is likely moderately competitive, appealing to local professionals with a strong track record in operational reliability.
