About This Role
This is a hands-on generalist HR position inside a manufacturing operation, where the HR function sits close to the factory floor rather than in a corporate head office. The work spans the full employee lifecycle — hiring, attendance discipline, grievance handling, training — meaning the person in this seat is the first point of contact for most workforce issues. It suits an HR professional who is comfortable operating in a fast-paced production environment where shift attendance and labor compliance directly affect output.
What the Requirements Say About This Role
The profile being sought is someone who has already run recruitment and employee relations independently, not an HR assistant stepping up. The emphasis on disciplinary processes, absenteeism tracking, and labor law awareness signals that the employer needs someone who can keep the factory compliant and manage friction between workers and supervisors without escalating every issue to the HR manager. The reporting and record-keeping duties suggest they value documentation discipline as much as people skills.
How to Approach This Application
Highlight concrete experience with high-volume recruitment and attendance management, ideally in manufacturing, FMCG, or another shift-based operation. Be prepared to discuss how you have handled a disciplinary case or a grievance end-to-end — this employer will likely probe for practical judgment rather than theoretical HR knowledge. Mention any familiarity with Ethiopian labor law in applied terms, such as how you have used it in training or case handling, and note that you can work on-site in Burayu.
Who This Role Suits
Best suited to an HR generalist with three to five years of factory or industrial experience who wants broad responsibility in a lean HR team. Competition is likely moderate, but candidates with manufacturing exposure and labor law fluency will stand out clearly.
