About This Role
This is a governance-focused role at one of Ethiopia’s largest agro-processing groups, where you will not merely check boxes but actively shape how risk is understood and managed across diverse business units. It suits a finance or audit professional ready to move from identifying problems to designing systems that prevent them. Kerchanshe’s scale and supply chain complexity mean your work will directly affect operational continuity and strategic decision-making.
What the Requirements Say About This Role
The 3–5 year experience range signals the company wants someone who has already performed compliance or risk tasks independently, not someone learning on the job. The unstated expectation is that you can bridge technical risk frameworks (e.g., COSO, ISO 31000) with practical, day-to-day business realities—especially in procurement, warehousing, or export finance. A background in internal audit or regulatory compliance within a large, multi-site organization will likely carry more weight than general accounting experience.
How to Approach This Application
Do not simply list your years in auditing or finance. Instead, structure your CV around specific risk events you helped prevent or resolve—such as a customs compliance gap you closed or a supplier fraud risk you flagged. In your cover letter, reference the coffee or agricultural export sector explicitly, even if briefly, to show you understand the regulatory and market risks Kerchanshe faces. Emphasize your ability to communicate risk to non-finance managers, as the role includes training and awareness-building.
Who This Role Suits
Best suited for a mid-career professional who enjoys building structure and influencing organizational culture, not just monitoring spreadsheets. Expect moderate competition, as the role offers rare exposure to enterprise-level risk management in a leading Ethiopian company.
