About This Role
This is a hands-on architectural role within a diversified business group, likely handling a steady pipeline of private-sector real estate projects. It suits an architect who can move from concept to construction documentation while collaborating closely with engineering and construction teams. The position demands both design creativity and technical precision in a fast-paced development environment.
What the Requirements Say About This Role
The employer is looking for an architect who can independently produce complete drawing sets and coordinate with multiple consultants—not just a designer but a technical lead on documentation. Experience with 3D visualization suggests the role involves client presentations and marketing materials. The 3-5 year expectation indicates they want someone past entry level but still actively drafting and detailing, not solely managing.
How to Approach This Application
Emphasize your portfolio of residential or commercial projects from concept through construction, especially any where you coordinated with structural and MEP engineers. Highlight proficiency in relevant design software, particularly for 3D modeling and working drawings. Mention familiarity with Addis Ababa building codes and permit processes, as the role requires regulatory compliance.
Who This Role Suits
This role is best suited for a mid-career architect with strong technical drafting skills and experience in multi-unit real estate projects in Addis Ababa. It is moderately competitive, as Gift Business Group is a known local developer seeking a reliable, self-sufficient team member.
