Document Field Specialist / ID Field Specialist
Blue Elephant Fiberboard Manufacturing PlcAbout This Role
This role is not a typical administrative desk job—it is a field-based liaison position that requires constant movement between government offices and the company’s facility. It is best suited for someone who thrives on external coordination, regulatory navigation, and physical document handling. The company, a manufacturing firm reliant on Chinese technical staff, needs a person who can bridge language, legal, and procedural gaps between its foreign employees and Ethiopian state agencies.
What the Requirements Say About This Role
The emphasis on “pre-checking” materials and avoiding rejections suggests the employer values precision and foresight over simple task execution. They are looking for someone who can anticipate bureaucratic pitfalls and correct documents before submission, not just deliver papers. The need for deep knowledge of immigration and labor regulations implies the ideal candidate has prior experience with EIC, Immigration, or Fayda-ID processes, possibly from working with NGOs, embassies, or foreign-owned firms.
How to Approach This Application
Your application should highlight concrete examples of successfully navigating Ethiopian government processes—especially work permits, visas, or national ID applications. Mention specific offices you have worked with (e.g., EIC, Immigration Office) and any instances where you prevented a rejection by catching errors early. Emphasize your ability to work independently in the field, manage multiple deadlines, and communicate clearly with non-Amharic speakers. Avoid generic clerical language—this role demands action, not just organization.
Who This Role Suits
This role is ideal for a mid-level professional with 3–5 years of hands-on experience in government liaison or immigration processing, especially in a multicultural or foreign-staffed company. It is moderately competitive due to its specialized nature, but candidates with direct, verifiable experience in similar field documentation roles will stand out.

- Communicate and coordinate with government officers on-site, respond to document inquiries, supplement materials and resolve approval rejection issues.

- Maintain a complete document ledger to record the expiry date of each staff’s permits and all processing milestones.
- Collect, file and archive all official receipts and approval documents; distribute original permits to employees after completion.
- Assist with visa extension and related employment registration matters required by local labor authorities.
- Complete other field HR assignments arranged by the HR Supervisor.
Experience: A minimum of 3 to 5 years of proven experience in a similar documentation or field liaison role, preferably within a multinational or fast-paced corporate environment.

Skills:
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with a high level of attention to detail.
