About This Role

This is a gatekeeper role at the heart of a manufacturing conglomerate's executive floor, where the CEO's time, correspondence, and documentation are your responsibility. Ethio-Asian Industries operates in a sector where board decisions, stakeholder meetings, and regulatory correspondence move quickly, so the assistant becomes the operational anchor of the Chief Executive Office. It suits someone who has already run an executive desk for several years and wants to work directly with top leadership rather than in a larger administrative pool.

What the Requirements Say About This Role

The seniority band signals that the company expects someone who has already made their mistakes on smaller desks — they want judgment built from experience, not training on the job. The absence of direct reports but the presence of board-level duties indicates a role that carries influence without formal authority, meaning the profile being sought is someone who can coordinate senior people through competence and discretion rather than hierarchy. The emphasis on both physical and electronic records implies an environment still modernizing its systems, so comfort with paper-based processes alongside digital tools matters more than it might elsewhere.

How to Approach This Application

Your application should demonstrate exposure to board or executive-level documentation, since that is clearly the sharpest edge of this role and the easiest way to differentiate yourself from other senior assistants. Concrete examples — how you handled confidential correspondence, how you organized a CEO's schedule under pressure — will land better than generic claims of being organized or detail-oriented. Given the reporting line, expect the employer to weigh discretion and reliability heavily; signal these through your references and work history rather than adjectives.

Best Fit

Who This Role Suits

Best suited to a seasoned executive secretary or senior administrative professional with prior experience supporting C-level leadership, ideally in manufacturing or a similarly structured corporate environment. Competition is likely moderate — the seniority requirement filters out many applicants, but those who clear it will be closely compared on board-level experience.
