About This Role
This role is about overseeing the physical and operational integrity of the corporate headquarters for a diversified Ethiopian business group. It suits a seasoned professional who can balance strategic planning with hands-on oversight, ensuring that facilities support the company’s growth and professional image. Given Horra Corporate Group’s evolution from a coffee trading family into a broader enterprise, the role likely involves managing multiple properties or complex office spaces that reflect the company’s established reputation.
What the Requirements Say About This Role
The implied profile is someone with deep practical experience in property management, maintenance coordination, and vendor negotiation, rather than a purely administrative background. The seniority level suggests the employer expects self-sufficiency in handling emergency repairs, safety compliance, and budgeting for facility upgrades. This is not an entry-level coordinator role; it demands proven leadership in managing teams or contractors and anticipating long-term property needs.
How to Approach This Application
Emphasize your track record in reducing operational costs while maintaining high standards of building upkeep, as this demonstrates strategic value. Highlight any experience with commercial or multi-site property management in Addis Ababa, particularly if you’ve navigated local regulatory or utility challenges. The employer likely prioritizes candidates who can present a clear system for preventive maintenance and emergency response planning, so prepare specific examples.
Who This Role Suits
This role is best suited for a mid-career property or facilities professional with at least five years of hands-on management experience in a corporate setting. It is moderately competitive, as the seniority level and stable company reputation attract experienced candidates, but niche expertise in property management may narrow the field.
