Fleet and Fuel Supervisor

Job Purpose

The Fleet and Fuel Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the efficient management of the organization’s vehicles and fuel resources. This role ensures proper allocation, monitoring, and reporting of fleet usage and fuel consumption to support operational continuity, cost control, and compliance with company policies.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Supervise daily fleet operations, including vehicle assignments, usage logs, and driver schedules.
• Monitor and record fuel consumption, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting.
• Verify fuel requests, receipts, and usage against source documents before approval.
• Maintain organized records of fleet maintenance, fuel transactions, and related documentation.
• Generate periodic reports on fleet utilization, fuel efficiency, and cost variances.
• Identify and correct discrepancies in fleet and fuel records.
• Support audits and reconciliations by providing accurate fleet and fuel data.
• Ensure compliance with safety, maintenance, and operational standards for all vehicles.
• Collaborate with drivers, mechanics, and operations staff to ensure timely submission of fleet and fuel data.
• Assist in preparing summaries, charts, or dashboards for management review.

Job Specification

Educational Qualifications

• Degree in Logistics, Transport Management, Supply Chain, or related field.

Professional Experience

• 3–5 years of experience in fleet management, fuel supervision, or related operational

Behavioural & Functional Competencies

• Strong record-keeping and data management skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word); familiarity with fleet/fuel management systems preferred.

• Good organizational and supervisory skills.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive operational data responsibly.
