About This Role

This is a short-term but critical operations role at one of Ethiopia’s major agricultural exporters, stepping in to ensure fleet continuity during a staff leave. You will be the central nerve connecting transport requests with driver assignments, managing real-time vehicle movements, and keeping paperwork tight. It suits a logistics professional who thrives on structure and quick decision-making, not someone looking for long-term strategic planning.

What the Requirements Say About This Role

The implied profile is a coordinator who can handle pressure without losing accuracy—someone who has already spent 3 to 5 years inside a busy dispatch or transport operation. Expectation is not just knowing routes, but being able to juggle multiple stakeholders (drivers, customers, internal teams) while maintaining clear documentation and real-time tracking. The employer likely values reliability and calm under operational chaos over flashy credentials.

How to Approach This Application

Focus your application on specific examples where you managed vehicle allocation during peak demand or resolved a dispatch conflict without delays. Emphasize your familiarity with freight orders and shipment tracking systems, even if basic. Because this is a maternity cover, highlight your ability to onboard quickly and maintain consistency—show that the operation won’t skip a beat in your hands.

Best Fit

Who This Role Suits
