About This Role

This position places you at the operational heart of a major humanitarian NGO’s field office in Amhara. As an HR and Admin Assistant, you will be responsible for executing day-to-day people and facility management tasks, ensuring that staff support and administrative systems run smoothly in a challenging environment. It is ideal for someone early in their career who wants to gain hands-on exposure to humanitarian HR operations while working in a remote, field-based setting.

What the Requirements Say About This Role

The role seeks a candidate with foundational HR knowledge and the ability to manage both people and logistics in a field office. The emphasis on compliance and internal controls suggests you must be detail-oriented and comfortable working within strict organizational policies. While the junior level implies 1-3 years of experience, the employer likely values practical exposure to payroll, leave tracking, or basic employee relations over formal qualifications alone.

How to Approach This Application

Your cover letter and CV must demonstrate your understanding of field-level HR challenges, such as handling sensitive staff matters in a small team or maintaining records in low-resource settings. Emphasize any experience with NGO policies, local labor law, or administrative coordination, and be sure to keep your CV to three pages as specified — this shows you can follow instructions precisely. Highlighting resilience and adaptability in your cover letter will also strengthen your application.
