About This Role

This is a hands-on HR generalist role inside a hospitality operation, where you will likely be the sole or lead HR person handling everything from hiring frontline hotel staff to managing employee relations. The title says "Manager" but the junior-level seniority suggests this is a build-the-function-from-scratch opportunity rather than a role overseeing a large HR department. It suits someone early in their HR career who wants broad exposure across the full employee lifecycle rather than a narrow specialization.

What the Requirements Say About This Role

The profile being sought is someone comfortable operating without heavy institutional support — the emphasis on expanding recruitment channels and building a "high-quality hospitality team" signals that systems and processes may not yet exist, and you will be expected to create them. The behavioral descriptors (empathetic, approachable, detail-oriented) matter as much as technical HR knowledge here, because hospitality frontline staff turnover and morale are constant pressures. The 1-3 year range implies they want someone trainable and cost-conscious rather than a seasoned HR director.

How to Approach This Application

Because the company describes itself inconsistently in the posting (furniture production in the header, hotel in the body), address this diplomatically in your application — show you understood the hospitality context and can adapt. Emphasize any experience recruiting high-volume, customer-facing staff, since filling Front Office, Housekeeping, and F&B roles quickly is likely the employer's most urgent pain point. Concrete examples of onboarding or training programs you have run will stand out more than general HR theory.

Best Fit

Who This Role Suits

Best suited to an early-career HR professional with some hospitality or service-sector exposure who is ready to take ownership of a full HR function in a lean environment. Competition is likely moderate — the junior bar widens the applicant pool, but the breadth of responsibility will favor candidates who can demonstrate initiative.

  4. Soft Skills (Core Requirement): Strong approachability, patience, empathy, and communication skills; meticulous, rigorous, with excellent service awareness and teamwork spirit. (Note: This role requires strong communication and employee care capabilities in a hospitality environment.)
