About This Role
This is an on-the-ground HR generalist role at a heavy industrial firm in Adama, requiring you to be the bridge between factory-floor realities and administrative HR systems. It suits an early-career professional who is comfortable handling both recruitment logistics and day-to-day employee concerns in a manufacturing setting, where practical problem-solving matters more than corporate polish.
What the Requirements Say About This Role
The posting suggests they want someone who can hit the ground running with recruitment coordination and basic compliance, not a strategic HR architect. The emphasis on screening applications and facilitating orientation implies they value organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple hires efficiently, likely to support a growing or high-turnover workforce typical in steel production.
How to Approach This Application
Focus your application on concrete examples of managing recruitment pipelines or handling employee queries in a structured environment. Highlight any experience with labor law compliance in Ethiopia’s industrial sector, as this signals you understand the legal risks they face. Since the role is in Adama, emphasize your willingness to work outside Addis and your ability to adapt to a manufacturing culture.
Who This Role Suits
This role is best for a detail-oriented HR professional with 1-3 years of experience who thrives in a hands-on, operational setting. Competition may be moderate, as the Adama location narrows the applicant pool but the junior level attracts many recent graduates.
