About This Role
This position offers an entry path into procurement within a capital-intensive manufacturing startup environment. You will be the operational backbone ensuring that a new bottle factory has all materials and services on time as it transitions from project phase to full production. It suits someone who thrives on logistics coordination, supplier follow-ups, and maintaining orderly records in a fast-paced industrial setting.
What the Requirements Say About This Role
The call for 3–5 years of experience signals that the employer wants someone who already understands procurement basics — supplier sourcing, purchase order processing, and delivery tracking — without needing extensive supervision. They are likely seeking a candidate who can handle routine purchasing independently while learning the specific raw materials and supply chain dynamics of glass or plastic bottle manufacturing.
How to Approach This Application
Emphasize your hands-on experience with purchase requisitions, supplier communication, and inventory follow-up in a manufacturing or industrial context. The employer will value evidence of reliability in ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining accurate procurement records — mention specific examples of how you kept operations running smoothly. Highlight any familiarity with local supplier networks in Ethiopia and comfort working between Addis Ababa and Debre Birhan.
Who This Role Suits
This role is best suited for a procurement professional with proven organizational skills who enjoys being part of a factory startup team. It is moderately competitive due to the emerging industry niche and the opportunity to grow with a new company.
