About This Role
This is not a routine lab role in a standard hospital. As an early team member at Pharo Health’s new specialty and diagnostic center, you will help define lab protocols, quality standards, and workflow systems from the ground up. The role suits a mid-career laboratory professional who wants to move beyond repetitive testing and contribute to building a premium healthcare brand in Ethiopia.
What the Requirements Say About This Role
The position calls for 3–5 years of experience, but the real expectation is someone who can operate independently and adapt to evolving systems. Proficiency in advanced diagnostic equipment and quality assurance procedures is implied, as is the ability to work in a multidisciplinary team. The employer is likely seeking a technologist who combines technical precision with a service-oriented mindset, ready to support a patient-first model.
How to Approach This Application
Emphasize any experience you have with setting up or refining lab processes, not just running tests. Highlight familiarity with international standards (e.g., ISO 15189) and examples of how you ensured accuracy and turnaround times in previous roles. Also, show that you understand the demands of premium healthcare — this employer values professionalism, discretion, and a commitment to elevating local standards.
Who This Role Suits
This role is best suited for an experienced laboratory technologist eager to leave a mark in a greenfield project with high visibility. Given the pioneering nature of the center, competition will be moderate, but candidates with a track record of initiative and system-building will stand out.
