About This Role

This role goes beyond basic warehousing — it sits at the intersection of logistics, nutrition supply chains, and humanitarian compliance. You will manage high-value GIK commodities like therapeutic foods (RUSF, CSB++) in a field office setting, ensuring that vulnerable populations receive timely assistance. It suits a detail-oriented professional who thrives in rural operations and understands the stakes of inventory accuracy in a health-focused NGO.

What the Requirements Say About This Role

The listing signals a need for someone who can bridge warehouse management with donor compliance — not just stack boxes, but track every unit through systems like LESS Last Mile and adhere to WFP standards. The emphasis on FEFO/FIFO, pest control, and stock reporting suggests the employer values operational precision over theoretical knowledge. A background in asset tracking and familiarity with NGO financial procedures will set you apart.

How to Approach This Application

In your cover letter and interview, lead with specific examples of managing perishable goods or high-value commodities in a field setting. Show you understand why zero stock-outs matter in a TSFP context (targeting >85% MAM coverage). Emphasize any experience with inventory systems, donor reporting, or working in Oromia or similar rural environments. Avoid generic statements — the employer will prioritize candidates who can immediately handle the logistics of therapeutic food distribution.
