Job Summary
NLMC is seeking an experienced OR Nurse to support safe surgical procedures through effective perioperative nursing, sterile technique, and coordination with surgical and anaesthesia teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms, instruments, equipment, and supplies.
- Perform scrub and circulating nurse duties according to competence and assignment.
- Maintain sterile technique and enforce infection prevention protocols.
- Assist surgical teams throughout operative procedures.
- Monitor surgical counts and ensure compliance with surgical safety checklists.
- Coordinate with surgeons, anaesthetists, and recovery staff.
- Maintain accurate perioperative documentation and ensure appropriate equipment readiness.
Qualifications & Experience
- BSc Degree in Nursing.
- Valid professional nursing licence.
- 3–5 years of relevant hospital experience, preferably in an operating room.
- Direct experience in perioperative nursing, sterile technique, and surgical safety is strongly preferred.
