About This Role
This role places you at the operational heart of a dairy processing facility in Bishoftu, coordinating the daily rhythm of milk processing and packaging. You are the bridge between the Shift Leader's strategic targets and the hands-on work of line operators, ensuring that machines run, materials flow, and people perform — all while maintaining rigorous food safety standards. It suits someone early in their FMCG career who thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on environment and wants to build supervisory experience in a well-established local brand.
What the Requirements Say About This Role
The listing emphasizes managing people, machines, and materials simultaneously — which signals that Holland Dairy is looking for someone with practical line experience, not just theoretical knowledge. The expectation to report safety issues and support performance evaluations suggests they value candidates with strong observational skills, basic leadership instincts, and the ability to communicate clearly under pressure. A background in food processing, mechanical aptitude, and familiarity with shift-based work will likely matter more than academic credentials alone.
How to Approach This Application
When applying, lead with concrete examples of how you have handled production pressure, quality checks, or team coordination — even if from a technician or operator level. Emphasize your comfort working with machinery and your awareness of food safety protocols, as these are daily realities in a dairy plant. Since the company operates in Bishoftu, showing willingness to be based there and work rotational shifts will strengthen your candidacy. Tailor your CV to highlight any supervisory exposure, however small, and quantify improvements you helped achieve.
