Purpose of the Job
The purpose of the job is to assist the Quality Control & Assurance team by managing documentation, maintaining inspection records, and ensuring compliance with quality standards. The role plays a crucial part in tracking production defects, coordinating with production teams for corrective actions, and assisting in audits and inspections.
Major duties and Responsibilities
- Processes and validate quality control reports submitted by inspectors.
Maintains a structured and accessible system for organizing quality control documentation.
Ensures accurate record-keeping of all inspections, defects, and corrective actions taken.
Regularly update quality control databases and ensure compliance with industry standards.
Monitors and log product defects or quality issues identified during production.
Prepares and submits detailed reports on inspection results to the Supervisor.
Follows up on corrective actions taken to address quality concerns and verify effectiveness.
Works closely with production staff to resolve quality issues and improve inspection procedures.
Communicates inspection results to relevant departments and ensure timely corrective measures.
Supports initiatives aimed at improving production quality and minimizing defects.
Assist with internal and external audits by preparing necessary documentation and ensures compliance with regulatory requirements related to glass manufacturing standards.
Performs other related duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.
Required Knowledge and skills (Competence)
Education
- BSc degree or TVET certification in Applied Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
- Additional training in quality management systems and documentation tools (e.g., Microsoft Excel, SAP).
Experience:
- Minimum of 1 years of experience in administrative or quality control roles, preferably in a manufacturing or glass production setting.
