About This Role
This role is about more than just buying goods from abroad—it is about managing the entire foreign procurement lifecycle for a major Ethiopian trading company. You will be the key link between international suppliers and Kerchanshe’s operations, handling everything from price negotiations to ensuring that Letters of Credit and shipping documents are flawless. They want a candidate who can independently manage price collection, contract preparation, and LC compliance without constant supervision. Given the seniority level, you likely need a proven track record of avoiding costly import delays or document mismatches, as well as familiarity with Ethiopian customs and banking procedures for foreign purchases.
How to Approach This Application

Emphasize your ability to negotiate with foreign suppliers and your understanding of Ethiopian trade regulations. The employer will prioritize candidates who can demonstrate they have prevented or resolved document discrepancies in past roles, so include concrete examples.
